BALD EAGLE PICTURES

Flicking through eagle photos online or seeing one in print in front of you can transport you to a place where it finds its natural habitat: nature. This great bird, not only treasured as a symbolism of the country, is not found commonly outside of North America. Making bald eagle photos a rare but appreciated commodity. Having someone that specializes in Bald Eagle photography can help produce the photos for your print inventory that also helps you practice your patriotism. We have a great variety of images in our bald eagle fine art photography gallery.

How climate change affects American Bald Eagles

Our patriotic eagle photos show their strength and endurance of the American spirit. During the year, bald eagles will migrate for breeding. However, due to global warming, their food sources are affected. The heat has also been threatening their ability to reproduce. The storm winds are also a danger to their nests and also babies. This means a reduction of population and also a definite decrease in inspiring bald eagle art in which we passionately love.

Characteristics of Bald Eagles

With feather-free legs and also talons to match, the creatures in our bald eagle photos are fully equipped to capture their prey from above. They pierce the vital areas of prey with its back toe while the front toes hold the pursued animal — the eagle’s lunch. We focus on their raw and graceful movements in our photos of eagles.

Rather large in size, the eagle spans out a body length of 28 to 40 inches. On average boasts a wingspan of 5 to 7 feet or so. The female bald eagle is known to be 25 percent larger than the males.

One of the things I enjoy so much is taking bald eagle photos. They are mainly found in North America with a large population of them in Alaska. The bald eagle’s beak, feet, and also irises are bright yellow. The legs of this beautiful bird are feather-free, and the toes are short and so powerful with large talons. All eagle images in our collection detail their natural movements. The highly developed talon of the hind toe is used to pierce the vital areas of prey while it is held immobile by the front toes. The beak on this bird is large and also hooked, with a yellow cere. You can vividly see their characteristics and details in our videos and photos of eagles.

Symbolism in America

The Bald Eagle is a well-known figure in American society. Not only as a majestic part of the North American ecosystem but also as a symbol of our nation. On June 20, 1782, this bird was elected as the emblem of the United States of America. Images of eagles symbolize strength, majesty, and longevity. Author, Maude M. Grant said that “during one of the first battles of the Revolution the noise of the struggle awoke the sleeping eagles on the heights and they flew from their nests and circled about over the heads of the fighting men, all the while giving vent to their raucous cries. “They are shrieking for Freedom,” said the patriots.” Today we see Bald Eagle photos on our gold coins, the silver dollar, the half dollar, and the quarter. Additionally, the symbolic bird is seen on the Great Seal of the United States.

Where Do Bald Eagles Live?

From early on, juvenile eagle photos can help tell a story through snapshots of the bird’s journey to adulthood. Our American bald eagle photos tell their story.

Following them from an early age, Eagle images can help place even the smallest details about their day-to-day life. From their diet, consisting of fish and also preying on small birds to their mating habits. We captured their movements in a short film when taking photographs of eagles.

Like humans and also penguins, eagle images are able to capture their monogamy. They are known to mate for life. However, in time, they’re also known to move on. If one member of the couple dies, the survivor will choose a new mate. You can see how they interact with each other in our images of eagles.

With a life span of around 20 years, eagles know how to survive — and also to do it alone. Normally, they tend to choose remote areas to set up their nests away from human activity. I have captured newborns, male, and also female eagle pics during my Alaskan visit.

Fortunately, the numbers have increased and their population has since recovered. I’m so honored to take photographs of eagles. On July 12th, 1995, the national bird found peace again with its removal from the list of endangered species. It was then removed from the List of Endangered and Threatened Wildlife in the Lower 48 States on June 28, 2007.

What Do They Eat?

For the most part, the bald eagle’s diet consists of fish, but it also preys on small birds. Eagles are known to mate for life. However, if one member dies, the survivor will choose a new one. They have a life span of approximately 20 years. The bald eagle is usually quite sensitive to human activity. It’s evident while nesting and found most commonly in areas with minimal human disturbance.

As a National bird and also the national animal of the United States of America, the bald eagle appears on its seal. In the late 20th century it was on the brink of annihilation in the United States. Populations have since recovered. The species was removed from the U.S. government‘s list of endangered species on July 12, 1995, and transferred to the list of threatened species. It was removed from the List of Endangered and Threatened Wildlife in the Lower 48 States on June 28, 2007.

Capturing the National Bird in Action: How I Take Bald Eagle Photos

Following the American bald eagle to its habitat, I use my passion and photography as an excuse to trek across the country to Haines, Alaska.

Firstly, The trip from New York takes over 18 hours. Every minute of it is worth the effort to be able to have the honor to capture the nation’s symbol and also the animal on print. With eagle pictures that can showcase more than just a species but can stir something inside of patriots everywhere.

From such close vicinity, I can also watch salmon swimming upstream. Finding a perfectly safe place to lay their eggs. Struggling without knowing that they’re actually a sitting target for the eagle up above. With the lens in hand, the sky is literally my canvas. Pointing up at the approximately 3,000 eagles in a 4-mile radius in the month of November — they’ve come seemingly just for me (and also the salmon, I assume). You can see their mighty characteristic in our American eagle photographs.

Fortunately, with the season, my eagle photos also contrast beautifully with the snowy white background. You can see them soar in our male and also female eagle photos as well. From a quality quick-action photo of a bald eagle on the shore grabbing salmon out of the water to also flying away after the catch. Our collection of bald eagle decor and patriotic eagle images are exclusive and uniquely composed for all lovers of these amazing birds.

When taking eagle images, these lenses have always worked for me above all. This can be seen in our bald eagle photo gallery and in our black and white fine art.

To get multiple eagle images in one go, get as close as possible without disturbing them by also staying in one spot for a long time. This can help the bird get used to your presence, which can also be a great time to study their habits and mannerisms.
